Environmental and Climate Justice Change Agents Course

The School for Peace Posted on 07/04/2025 by Juman Daraghmeh10/04/2025

Participants of the SFP Change Agents Course for Environmental and Climate Justice recently met for an intensive learning day to explore the climate crisis and its intersection with the Jewish-Palestinian conflict.

The program is carried out in collaboration with the organization “Citizens for the Environment.“

The group learned about connections between scientific research and government policy from climate expert Dr. Avner Gross, and about ongoing Palestinian dispossession and its impact on the environment from Dr. Lina Delasha.

Participants then examined the impacts of the current crises and brainstormed different potential ways to achieve climate justice within the context of sociopolitical justice between Jews and Palestinians. The meeting emphasized the urgent need for action and critical thinking for a just and sustainable future for all residents of the region.
