Year-long SFP course begins at BGU
2013-10-22: Using a new course structure, the SFP and Dr. Tal Eyal launched a year long course at Ben Gurion University in conjunction with the Psychology department. The course attracted more students than usual with 14 Arabs, mostly Bedouin women, and 11 Jews. Dr. Tal Eyal is a graduate of the SFP course at Tel Aviv University and is now part of the academic staff at BGU’s Social Psychology department. The course has two parts; in the first half students meet in two-hour sessions discussing issues of the Arab-Jewish conflict. In the second part students volunteer for NGOs for social change in Southern Israel, and receive a monthly tutorial on volunteering in those same organizations. This year the course is run by Wasim Biroumi and Nava Sonnenschein.
