School for Peace conducts workshop for candidate families

The School for Peace Posted on 15/06/2016 by nswassfp16/11/2016
Candidate Families workshop

On the weekend of June 3-4, the School for Peace conducted a workshop for new candidates to Wahat al-Salam / Neve Shalom. The workshop was attended by about 20 Jewish and Palestinian families – including many babies! For the majority of the work we divided into two small groups. Members of the absorption committee observed the workshop. We dealt with issues at the core of the Jewish – Palestinian conflict, like military service, the refugees, and the character of the state. In particular, we considered issues of living together in a Jewish-Arab village. Several of the candidates had already participated in similar workshops, whereas for others this was the first time that they experienced such a dialogue. The workshop was facilitated by Yaron Tal, Maya Rabia, Summer Sweid and Noa Barkai.
