The School for Peace Posted on 03/06/2017 by nswassfp15/06/2017
Planners meeting

Second meeting of Urban Planners and Architects Change Agents course, which is held in cooperation with the Arab Center for Alternative Planning, in the northern town Eilaboun. Dr. Hanna Sweid, founder of the Arab Center for Alternative Planning (ACAP), gave a lecture to the participants about the planning issues faced by the Arab-Palestinian society in Israel.

Following the success of past courses, and seeing the effect these courses had on the participants, the School for Peace is running this course for the third time with the ACAP. Graduates of the past two courses have went on to become active at their workplace and in local councils on issues related to planning. Earlier this year, graduates from the 2016 course also went on to found The Arab Jewish Planners Forum which sent an open letter to the government signed by 300 planners and architects.
