Participation in Protest March, Tira

The School for Peace Posted on 08/07/2014 by Ira Elan08/07/2014
Jews and Arabs refuse to be enemies

“Jews and Arabs refuse to be enemies”

Following recent events, and the rift being revealed between Jews and Arabs in Israel, we – as social activists from different organizations, associations and left wing movements – are joining together to make a sane voice heard in the insane reality in which we live. We are saying no to racism, yes to peaceful equal existence, and yes to a shared destiny.

This Saturday, 12.7.2014, we will go to Tira, in the “triangle” area, to demonstrate what partnership is. We will meet the key people of the place, visit the city, and hold a protest rally not to let the extremists, killing, militancy, incitement and racism control the public arena and call to work towards jpoint peaceful and equal existence between Jews and Arabs.

A bus will leave from Neve Shalom/ Wahat al-Salam at 10:00am and will reach Tira at 11:00. The meeting point is the south entrance of Tira, by the market. The bus will return to Neve Shalom/Wahat al-Salam at 14:00.

A bus from Tel Aviv (at the bus station on Arlozarov, next to the train station) will leave at 10:30am and will also reach Tira at 11:00. The bus will return to Tel Aviv at 14:00
