Mental Health Professionals Meet for Projects Planning
Second cohort of Israeli and Palestinian mental health professionals course meet for planning their upcoming projects. A panel was conducted in the first day led by psychologist Tova Buksbaum, lawyer Mohammed Abu Sneineh and social worker Harb Amara who talked about their involvement in activism after graduating from similar School for Peace courses.
Next day was led by organizational counselor Shahira Shalabi and course facilitators. Many initiatives were displayed and participants chose three out of them: first initiative was to arrange tours to Arab and Jewish villages near to Ma’alul that was depopulated in 1948 so they get to know each other’s narratives, second initiative was to conduct a course for learning about other conflicts around the world, third one was a project to regulate nonviolent dialogue among youth in East Jerusalem.
