Facilitator Training Course: delving deeper

The School for Peace Posted on 23/03/2021 by nswassfp07/04/2021
facilitator training course

On 19-20 March, we conducted another meeting of the SFP facilitator training course. The session was devoted to learning facilitation skills and theory.

There was a marked improvement in participants’ facilitation skills. We delved deeper into the analysis of facilitation units on issues such as characteristics of facilitation in a uninational framework, how to deal with resistance to facilitation, reflections on group processes, the integration of process and content and co-facilitation.

Participants heard three lectures. Dr. Maram Masarwa lectured on the teachings of Paulo Freire. Hani Biran lectured on group-facilitation theory, and, in particular on Bion. Prof. Amal Jamal lectured on postcolonial theory.

The lecture (in Hebrew) may be heard at https://youtu.be/TQggboyKASg
