Change Agents Course Tour of Jerusalem

The School for Peace Posted on 08/09/2016 by nswassfp19/08/2017
East Jerusalem (Wall)

On Friday, September 9, participants in the Change Agents Course for Up-and-Coming Politicians conducted a study tour in Jerusalem, in order to expose the group to the complexity of the situation in the eastern part of the city, where the occupation arbitrarily divides the city and causes political tensions.

Hava Schwartz from the Ir Amim association accompanied the group. She stressed the fact that the dvision by the state authorities strengthens the power of the occupation by preventing territorial contiguity between East Jerusalem Arab neighborhoods.

In addition to the tour, there was a lecture by Mr. Mohammed Nahal, a specialist in city planning who is knowledgeable about the reality of Jerusalem. He presented topical issues relating to planning and building in the city as a result of occupation and the separation policy.
