Projects planning meeting

The School for Peace Posted on 23/02/2019 by Ira Elan23/02/2019

On the weekend of 25-26 January, 2019 a meeting was held for the participants of Israeli and Palestinian mental health professionals’ course, with the aid of Shahira Shalaby participants searched for a working plan that they would like to adopt.

The group participants agreed upon working in two directions, the first is to raise solidarity with Palestinians by working to reduce their sufferings under the occupation while the second is to develop participants’ facilitation skills by arranging an Israeli-Palestinian doctors meeting for the possibility of cooperation may contribute in mitigating the current medical crisis.

Eventually three ideas were displayed, a Palestinian-Israeli doctors meeting, an organization to help patients from Gaza who receive treatment in east Jerusalem hospitals and to provide a physical and psychological assistance for them and their families. A third idea was to establish a mobile blood bank in Palestine.

This group met in this project for over a year now under the funding of the USAID, later we will be forced to recruit other grant agents due to the USAID funding cut.

This project is led by The School for Peace and The Palestinian Enmaa organization, they have decided that against all odds they will continue working on this amazing project and accompany the participants’ initiatives.
