The School for Peace Posted on 22/12/2018 by Ira Elan22/12/2018

With much hope the fourth cohort of change agents in mixed cities course was opened. After a long recruitment, 22 participants were founded With key jobs in mixed cities in a variety of fields like politics, education and associations work.
The opening workshop lasted for three days at Oasis of peace and it included the first part of introducing and matching expectations.Second day was dedicated for dialogue and several essential issues were discussed

Like military role in the Israeli society, personal and institutional responsibility against discrimination, women role in Jewish and Palestinian societies. at the end of the day participants joined a music night lead by the violinist  Andre Gibran.
on Tuesday a Negotiation  simulation about country essence was held. every group chose its leaders and were divided into two Committees,  foreign affairs and security and education. agreements were accomplished on several issues and it was clear that concrete points discussion enlarges gaps between the groups that cannot be seen through dialogue. at the end of the workshop we went for a tour around Oasis Of Peace and had our summery in front of the village’s view.
